Add Targets to the Design
A target region comprises a pair of coordinates that define a contiguous sequence in the genome. For example, a target region could span from Chr15 start coordinate 15000000 to Chr15 stop coordinate 15000500. Target refers to the actual coordinates used for designing probes. A design can contain numerous targets, and these targets can be discontinuous. Use the following methods to add targets to the design:
Method |
Description |
---|---|
Use the Gene tab to define targets based on gene name. This option is only available for designs using human or mouse samples. |
|
Use the Add Coordinate tab to define targets based on chromosome coordinates. |
|
Use the Add by File tab to define targets based on data in a CSV (*.csv) or BED (*.bed) file. |
|
Use the Copy by Amplicon tab to define targets based on amplicon data from a CSV (*.csv) file. |
|
Use the Community & Fixed Panels tab to copy amplicons from an existing community or fixed panel using the same species. |
