Estimate Project Pricing

The Pricing Calculator window enables you to estimate the total pricing of your custom enrichment project. Additionally, the tool provides a recommendation of the sequencing consumables you will need to perform the entire project (for example, all samples that will be enriched). Your price may vary based on a number of factors. Open the Pricing Calculator window with the Price Calculator button while defining project content or as you are preparing to order your design.

Field/Button

Description

%OF BASES COVERED IN REGIONS:

AT:

COVERAGE DESIRED IN X

The number of bases you select at a specified sequencing depth. When you select a higher percentage of bases, more sequencing will be required. 95% is the maximum value.

AVERAGE REGION SIZE

The average length of target regions in base pairs.

CALCULATE/RECALCULATE (button)

Calculates your total project pricing based on the variables you have selected.

CLUSTERING

Available only for the Genome Analyzer Platform. Choose between the cBot or Cluster Station.

LIBRARY SIZE (BP)

The length of the genomic DNA insert plus sequencing adapters. Average length is the mean as estimated by Agilent Bioanalyzer.

MULTIPLEXING

Enables pooling of DNA libraries prior to enrichment pulldown. Pricing is currently based on 12-plex pre-enrichment sample pooling.

MULTIPLEXING LEVEL

The number of discrete DNA libraries pooled together prior to enrichment. The recommended default is currently 12.

NUMBER OF REGIONS

A region is a continuous region of DNA of interest. In the case of a gene, this may be the number of exons within a gene.

NUMBER OF SAMPLES

The number of DNA libraries to be enriched.

PAIRED END READS

Using paired end reads is typically most efficient and cost effective.  For small projects, such as those that are < 1 Mb in cumulative sequence, it may be suitable to perform single reads.

PLATFORM

The Illumina sequencing platform that will be used for analysis.

READ LENGTH

The read length at which you intend to run on the sequencer.
