NextSeq 500 High Output Kit—Available in three sizes (300 cycles, 150 cycles, and 75 cycles), the NextSeq 500 High Output Kit includes one high-output flow cell, the high-output reagent cartridge, and the buffer cartridge.
NextSeq 500 Mid Output Kit—Available in two sizes (300 cycles and 150 cycles), the NextSeq 500 Mid Output Kit includes one mid-output flow cell, the mid-output reagent cartridge, and the buffer cartridge.
NextSeq Control Software (NCS) v1.2—The control software interface guides you through the steps to load the flow cell and reagents before beginning a sequencing run. During the run, NCS operates the flow cell stage, dispenses reagents, controls flow cell temperatures, and captures images of clusters on the flow cell.
Real-Time Analysis (RTA)—The NextSeq 500 uses a new implementation of RTA called RTA2, which includes important architecture differences from RTA used on other Illumina sequencers. Unlike earlier versions of RTA, all processes are performed in memory to maximize processing speed.
The NextSeq 500 is fully enabled to work with BaseSpace, providing an end to end data storage, sharing and analysis system. The NextSeq 500 can seamlessly stream data to BaseSpace, where demultiplexing and conversion to industry-standard FASTQ file formats occurs automatically as the final step in data transfer to Basespace.
Use the bcl2fastq 2.0 conversion software to convert NextSeq 500 output to standard FASTQ file formats for downstream analysis using third-party analysis solutions. Version 2.0 is only for use with NextSeq data. For more information, see the bcl2fastq v2.0 Conversion User Guide.
