Add Targets to the Design

A target region comprises a pair of coordinates that define a contiguous sequence in the genome. For example, a target region could span from Chr15 start coordinate 15000000 to Chr15 stop coordinate 15000500. Target refers to the actual coordinates used for designing probes. A design can contain numerous targets, and these targets can be discontinuous. Use the following methods to add targets to the design:

Add a Target by Gene Name

Use the Gene tab to define targets based on gene name. This option is only available for designs using human or mouse samples.

Add a Target Using Chromosome Coordinates

Use the Coordinate tab to define targets based on chromosome coordinates.

Add Targets by Uploading Files

Use the File Upload tab to define targets based on data in a CSV (*.csv) or BED (*.bed) file.
