Application Versions
BaseSpace Sequence Hub supports two application versions: Classic and New. In New mode, all data for the selected biosample within a project are automatically aggregated for analysis. In Classic mode, sample data must be merged before launching analysis.
Select the application mode on the account settings page. When you toggle versions, only the view of your data changes; the data remain the same.
The following sample-based tasks are available in the Classic application version only.
Combine Samples
Combine samples when you want to merge data from at least two different sequencing runs for the same sample.

From the Projects tab, select the project. |

Select the checkbox of each sample to combine. |
Note
The read length of each selected sample must be the same.

In the New Sample ID field, enter a name for the combined samples. |
Copy Samples to Another Project
Any of the following reasons might require copying samples from one project to another:

Analyze a sample in the context of two different projects. |
|
•
|
Transfer ownership of a sample, but keep a copy. |
|
•
|
Correct a sample assigned to the wrong project. |

From the drop-down list, select a project to copy the samples to. |
