Reanalyze a Sample

Reanalyzing a sample is necessary under the following circumstances:

The sample was analyzed using an earlier version of the software. Reanalyze the sample to show the data in the variant table.
The case was deactivated by BaseSpace Variant Interpreter due to inactivity. Reanalyze the sample to show the data in the variant table.

Note

Samples that have not been analyzed in the current software version are listed as Action Required in the Status column of the Cases tab. The variant data for these samples are not displayed in the variant table until the reanalysis is performed. For information about reanalyzing multiple cases at a time, see Reanalyze Multiple Cases.

A new variant association was approved. Reanalyze the sample to include the new association.
A custom annotations file was added after a VCF file was imported, so the VCF file does not contain the custom annotation. Reanalyze the sample to apply the custom annotation.
Family data was modified. For example, a sibling ID was added to the proband case. Reanalyze the sample to include the new relative in the analysis.
1. From the Cases tab, select an analysis result to open the case.
2. Select the More drop-down arrow, and then select Re-Analyze Sample.
